I developed the labels for Wicked Weed’s Canvas Series beers; Terra Merita, Folia & Sombra. Each label is made using only the ingredients in the beer itself.
I developed a logo, product packaging and a photography style for a Medical Marijuana company called Chroma.
The logo was inspired from the shape of the Marijuana leaf and the greenhouses that help to grow the plants.
Because of the important role the sun plays in cultivating the plant, the packaging was inspired by the sun’s relationship to earth throughout the day.
I used the astronomical terms for the angles of the sun to represent the range of products.
Each product has a different ratio of THC and CBD and therefore has a different color, shape and astronomical element, depending on where it falls in the spectrum.
The photographic approach for Chroma was also inspired by the greenhouses that grow the product.
Photos were treated with a “light leak” effect that mimics this idea of letting light in. Photos of people and nature were treated with this effect, creating an ethereal feeling and a positive, energetic mood.
I created a series of illustrations for a weekly beer & dinner pairing menu for Wicked Weed’s Funkatorium. The art was used every week on social media to promote the seasonal menu.
As a part of the Widgets & Stone Design Team, I created a logo and identity for Clinica Medicos, a provider of bilingual medical services to Chattanooga’s under-served Latino population, drawing inspiration from the rich colors and patterns of South America.
BURST Session Sour
The Passionfruit Lychee Burst can uses a dynamic type treatment paired with pop art style illustrations of the unique fruits used in the sour ale.
Beer & Music Festival
I created an identity for the Wicked Weed Beer & Food Festival. I wanted the look to be fresh with a hint of nostalgia. The color palette is earthy and natural and the type treatment is simple, powerful and flexible. The graphic lines connote energy and fun.
The event posters work in a series. Different posters utilize different words of the logo to show relevant imagery. The outdoor signage shows how flexible the line & type system can be.
Ain't That Something
I developed an identity and advertising campaign for an electronic cigarette.
The product is close to an authentic smoking experience so I drew upon the look and feeling of vintage smoking ads.
The photography feels retro, while touches of modernity come through in the color palette and the graphic lines that highlight the product.
Order of 1908
I created the identity for a women's social club. I drew inspiration from their symbol - the orchid - to create a look that felt feminine and delicate while still being fresh and modern.
I make a weekly poster for a live music series. I draw inspiration from the style of music of the artists and work to evoke a similar feeling in the poster.
I concepted and illustrated marketing materials for a summer beer release party.
I created a poster for a 52 Tap Takeover which required photographing 52 different beers and displaying them as a taxonomy.
ROBAR Cocktail Bar
As a part of the Widgets & Stone design team, I developed the identity for ROBAR, a speakeasy-style cocktail bar in downtown Chattanooga.
Inspired by vintage cocktail books of the 1920s, I used a typeface and illustration styles that felt reminiscent of Art Deco era design.
